Run a computer by talking to it
afire puts a small agent on a computer and gives you one conversation to operate it — from a phone, a browser, anywhere. Describe what you want done; the agent works the screen, runs commands, edits files, and reports back. It runs on the device itself, alongside the files and sessions already there, rather than in a rented sandbox that meets every task as a stranger.
How it works
- Connect a computer, or don't. A one-line installer adds the agent to Windows, macOS, or Linux — desktops, laptops, or headless servers. Or open a cloud desktop that arrives with the agent already on it and install nothing. Either way, nothing on the device listens for a connection: agents dial out over TLS.
- Talk to it. The chat runs from any browser or phone. The agent can take screenshots, control mouse and keyboard, run shell commands, read and write files, and fetch from the web — with a live view of the screen while it works.
- Leave standing instructions. Agents can be scheduled (intervals, cron, one-shots) or triggered by events from other software. Background runs post their findings to an activity feed instead of interrupting you.

Live view of any connected display, multi-monitor aware, with mouse/keyboard control from the browser — by you or by the agent.
Shell & files
Run commands, edit files, move data between devices. Attach files by paste or drag-drop from any chat.
Cloud desktops
On-demand Linux desktops for when a task shouldn't run on hardware you own, or when you'd rather not install anything. They sleep when idle.
Routines & triggers
Scheduled agents and event-triggered agents. Detectors and sensors fire events through a simple HTTP API.
Readouts
Ask for a card and get one: stats, lists, galleries, small interactive apps — fed by device data, refreshed by push.
Voice
Hands-free mode: speak, hear the reply, keep going. Natural server voices with a per-account picker.
Groups
Put devices in a group and chat with all of them at once — the agent picks the right device per task, or fans out.
GPU jobs
Provision GPUs from a chat — T4 through H100 — with metered credits and per-user persistent storage.
When there's more than one
Nothing changes about how you work — the same conversation just reaches further. Put devices in a group and address them together: the agent resolves which one a task belongs to, or fans the task out and reports back per device. Useful once a second computer shows up; unnecessary until then.

afire is in closed alpha and access is by invite. Every account carries a monthly allowance included at no cost, and paid tiers raise it; usage is metered against per-account daily and monthly caps, enforced server-side. Alpha accounts run at a steep discount against list pricing.
