Run a computer by talking to it
afire puts a small agent on a computer and gives you one conversation to operate it from a phone or a browser. Describe what you want done; the agent works the screen, runs commands, edits files, and reports back. It runs on the device itself, alongside the files and sessions already there.
How it works
- Connect a computer, or don't. A one-line installer adds the agent to Windows, macOS or Linux: desktops, laptops or headless servers. Or open a cloud desktop that arrives with the agent already on it and install nothing. Either way, nothing on the device listens for a connection: agents dial out over TLS.
- Talk to it. The chat runs from any browser or phone. The agent can take screenshots, control mouse and keyboard, run shell commands, read and write files, and fetch from the web, with a live view of the screen while it works.
- Leave standing instructions. Agents can be scheduled (intervals, cron, one-shots) or triggered by events from other software. Background runs post their findings to an activity feed instead of interrupting you.

Cloud desktops
On-demand Linux desktops for when a task shouldn't run on hardware you own, or when you'd rather not install anything. They sleep when idle.
Routines & triggers
Scheduled agents and event-triggered agents. Detectors and sensors fire events through a simple HTTP API.
Readouts
Ask for a card and get one: stats, lists, galleries and small interactive apps, fed by device data and refreshed by push.
Voice
Hands-free mode: speak, hear the reply, keep going. Natural server voices with a per-account picker.
Groups
Put devices in a group and chat with all of them at once. The agent picks the right device per task, or runs it on each.
GPU jobs
Start a GPU from a chat, T4 through H100, billed from your usage, with storage that persists between sessions.
When there's more than one
The same conversation reaches more than one device. Put devices in a group and address them together: the agent works out which one a task belongs to, or runs the task on each and reports per device. A group is useful once there is a second computer.

afire is in alpha. Every account includes a monthly usage allowance at no cost, and paid plans raise it. Models are priced at their makers' published API rates, and credits can be added at any time. Alpha pricing may change when the alpha ends.
The front page at afire.ai answers questions without an account. Acting on a device needs the app.
